A Fantastic Sports Day

16th Jun 2026

Our school celebrated Sports Day on Friday and what a day we had! Everyone had a fantastic time taking part in a wide range of activities, showing great enthusiasm, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the day.

One of the highlights was the obstacle course, where students challenged themselves with a variety of fun and exciting tasks. We also enjoyed some energetic dance sessions. A huge thank you to Ms. Gleeson, who got everyone moving with a brilliant Michael Jackson-inspired dance routine. We were also delighted to learn a traditional Australian dance from Taylor from Sydney and shared a little piece of Australian culture with us.

Throughout the day, students took part in GAA activities, parachute games and many other fun stations. There was something for everyone, and it was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and students encouraging one another.

To finish off a fantastic day, the whole school came together for a school dance. The final event was the much-anticipated Staff vs. 6th Class tug of war. In a dramatic and unforgettable finish, the students were declared the winners when the rope broke during the contest! It was a fitting end to a day full of laughter, fun and great memories.

A big thank you to all the staff, students and helpers who made Sports Day such a success!
