Sporting Activities

At St. Vincent de Paul Senior School, we are proud of our pupils’ sporting achievements. Physical Education is a key part of our curriculum, with lessons that are fun, collaborative, and skill-based, helping students develop new talents and discover new interests.

Our pupils take part in a variety of activities including football, yoga, dancing, and basketball. In addition, 4th Class enjoy swimming lessons, 5th Class participate in a cycling programme, and all pupils take part in GAA sessions with our local club coach, Nicole. Throughout the year, students can join school sports teams and take part in a wide range of activities that build teamwork, confidence, and enjoyment.

Our Teams

Our pupils represent the school in GAA, athletics, and soccer, competing in matches and events across Dublin. The girls’ dedication has earned many cups, medals, and prizes, with some even having the exciting opportunity to play in Croke Park!

GAA

At St. Vincent de Paul Senior School, GAA is a cornerstone of our sporting life. Pupils have the opportunity to play Gaelic football, representing the school in competitions across Dublin. The teams are led by Ms. Murrin and Mr. Bell, who guide and support the pupils as they develop their skills and enjoy the sport.

This year, we are excited to begin our Gaelic football matches, giving our teams the chance to experience competitive play and gain match experience. The Camogie team will be selected later in the year.

Stay tuned here for news and updates as our GAA teams get started and continue to grow!
