Active Schools
At St. Vincent de Paul Senior School, we encourage and promote physical wellbeing throughout the school day, helping pupils develop healthy habits while having fun.
During big break, our Active Yard is divided into three zones to offer a variety of activities. One zone is dedicated to games, another to skipping and small equipment activities, and a quiet zone provides a space for reading or relaxing. Our Student Council help organise and support the yard, ensuring that all pupils can enjoy the activities safely and actively.
We also celebrate Active Schools Week each year, take part in initiatives such as the Skip Around Europe challenge, and engage in many other activities that promote movement, teamwork, and a love of being active.
Many of our pupils are also very active outside of school, participating in a variety of clubs and activities. Local groups and organisations occasionally send coaches to our school, giving the pupils the opportunity to experience different forms of physical activity and further develop their skills.
